Jesus said..."But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,  and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous." (Luke 14:13-14)

In this e-Connector we are invited to share what we have with those in need. The people of the RLCR are inviting us to share in their ministry. Their most passionate desire is to reach of to their neighbors with tangible support to satisfy their physical needs and to feed their spiritual hunger with the "Bread of Life" our Lord Jesus Christ.

You are invited to participate in an on-line ALPHA course which is facilitated by a  church with Lutheran roots in Huntington Beach, California. One session has already taken place, but you can join for the remaining sessions.  If you have a friend or neighbor who may benefit, invite them to watch the series with you. Share a meal and watch the Alpha course.

A tribute to the late Reverend Harry Vibe of Renfrew, ON is found below.

A Message from the President of the Reformed Lutheran Church of Rwanda

Dear Reverend James Bredeson, President of the CALC.
And to all Pastors of CALC

God's grace and His peace be with you and to your families!

Reverend, we kindly request you to keep remember us in your prayers, because we are in need of financial support to this work of God:

1). $15,000 for Evangelism program (the Lutheran Heritage Foundation has sent to us two kind of books of the CATECHISM, one has explanations and the other small does not have, and the third book is called Jesus Never Fail. So we would like to offer the training of these three books to our Pastors, to our Evangelists, to our Deacons and Deaconesses, and also to believers). These books have arrived to us in this last May 2022. (you can donate this periodically as you receive the donation for it). God bless you.

2). $8,500 are needed very much,  our Humanitarian Aid Committee told us that they need this help to reach with food to those in need of food including of families of our local Pastors. Please, we kindly request you to pray for us. God bless you.

3). $2,000 are needed to buy a one Motorbike to our Pastor Francis Nsengimana (to reach at the church, mostly he must travel eight kilometers from his home and his wife Pelagia)

4). We need funds to raise up a church building for our local congregation of NTOMA and the congregation of RWEMPASHA, and the congregation of GISHORORO. We allow you to share this prayer request to believers of your local congregations.

5). A CAR is needed for Evangelism and for HFCR's activities. (We really need a donation of a car to help me more and more in Evangelism programs and in programs of compassion in HFCR a nonprofit organization). Rev. James Bredeson has more pictures, he can share them to you.

As the Church President, to visit our local congregations, I must travel with Public Transportation, sometime I reach there when I am late.

At my local church mostly I go alone with my wife by taking motorbikes taxi. Here, I must pay and my wife must pay. And many times we leave our two children back home. With this car we shall be able to take our children to the church.

This car will also help me very much in all programs we do of reaching the orphans and children from poor families through Harvest of Friend and Compassion in Rwanda as you saw our pictures.

Someone can donate a new car directly from Canada or He/she can buy it online in Volkswagen Company is here in Rwanda, they do new cars, then I can pick it from this company here. God bless you.

6). HFCR, Harvest of Friends and Compassion in Rwanda, a nonprofit organization, which I founded on July 2011. We really request brothers and sisters in Christ to stand together with us in prayers for we need funds to support: the orphans, and children from poor families, and children in the street. We have sent to you pictures of our previously activities, you can share them to believers at your congregation for prayers.

The needs are:
Tuition fees,  school uniforms, food at school, shoes, notebooks, pens, pencils, soaps and sanitation materials for monthly period to girls.
God bless you.

YOU CAN SHARE THESE PRAYER REQUESTS TO BELIEVERS, AND TO OTHER FRIENDS IN CHRIST WHOM YOU THINK THAT THEY CAN BE WILLING TO DONATE TO THIS WORK OF GOD.

May God bless you and God all of the Christian members of CALC congregations, and God bless your country of the CANADA.

In His Services!

Pastor Harry was an Individual Associate Member of CALC. He joined in 2012. He was rostered with CALC as a Pastor Emeritus. Pastor Vibe was involved in Solid Ground, a movement dedicated to the reform the ELCIC. Together with his brothers and sisters in Solid Ground, he took a scriptural and confessional stand on important matters that challenged the faith and life of the church.

A Prayer for the Vibe Family: O God of grace and glory, we remember before you our brother Harry. We thank you for giving him to us to know and to love as a companion in our pilgrimage on earth. In your boundless compassion, console all who mourn him. Give them your aid, so they may see in death the gate to eternal life, that they may continue their course on earth in confidence until, by your call, they are reunited with those who have gone before; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer of the Day

Almighty and everlasting God, you are always more ready to hear than we are to pray, and to give more than we desire or deserve. Pour upon us the abundance of your mercy, forgiving us of those things of which our conscience is afraid, and giving us those good things for which we are not worthy to ask, except through the merit of your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!
