One of the greatest attributes of the gig economy is the ability to choose.

Gig workers choose what work they do, when they work, how they work and how long they work. Gig workers hire themselves, and they can terminate the opportunity at will without penalty.

If you want to accelerate the quality of life for you and your family by paying off debt faster, adding something new to your budget or increasing your savings and investments, flexible gig work can provide a path.

No more excuses: You can find your ultimate gig!

1. Explore Your Choices

Our research found that gig workers are most often motivated by meeting a financial need and having a flexible opportunity to earn money.

Because of this premium on flexibility, companies that provide gigs should not use "turnover" as one of their critical metrics. As used in the past, the concept of worker turnover may have little meaning in today's gig economy.

People who choose to move on from one gig may simply be looking for their next experience or still searching for their "ultimate gig."

Our research found that 55% of gig workers have multiple gigs, giving them more diversity in their work and an opportunity to find the one gig that will activate more of their passions and joy. They may be looking for the gig that is most rewarding. Or, they may be working multiple gigs to test their entrepreneurial readiness.

This could be the first step before shifting from a traditional work model to one where they can be the architect of their destiny!

2. Build Your Momentum

Everyone needs to understand the value of the gig economy and the transformation we are witnessing. People from all walks of life are architecting a hugely different kind of future — one where the masses become the primary actors on the stages of life and work.

As a gig worker, you can maximize your potential. You can turn your underutilized time into an income possibility.

Reading Ultimate Gig and becoming familiar with Ultimate Gig Resources will stimulate your thinking about what you do to support your objectives for life and work. We never define exactly what the ultimate gig might be because the ultimate gig for one person may not be true for another.

Most gig workers in our research said their gigs provided incremental income to themselves or their families, with 80% earning less than $2,000 per month through their gigs. And 90% indicated satisfaction with their gigs — showing it doesn't take a lot of extra income to generate positive results.

3. Share What You Know

Don't keep this information to yourself. Share with others what was just shared with you.

If you have found your ultimate gig, keep building new customers and sharing with others the opportunity to engage in the same uncommon freedoms you have found.

It is a beautiful world of new opportunities.
