Ministry Update
The end of every school year seems to follow a cycle where you feel like there is too much to be accomplished before the last day of school and then all of a sudden, it's over and everything is done. This year has followed this pattern and here we find ourselves putting the 2020-2021 school year in the history books. When reflecting on the year, I have seen my teachers, students, and parents overcome extremely challenging times, filled with many disappointments. I also see that we have all grown a lot through this process. I have been learning that the Lord allows us to experience hardship in order to help us to grow in dependence on Him.
We read in Jeremiah 17:7-8
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.
This year has definitely had its share of "heat" from many things going on in the world, but ICSB has remained planted by the stream, with it's roots based in a deep trust in the Lord. Praise God for helping us through this trial and allowing the students and staff of ICSB to continue to trust, despite the challenges that were encountered.

As you might guess by the photo, the graduation is official. Lacey is no longer an ICSB student, but rather alumnus. We are proud of her accomplishment and want to celebrate with you June 26th, at 2:00pm and the address is 9797 N Twin Lake Rd. NE, Mancelona MI. We would love to see you there!

I was able to speak in one of the final chapel services for the year. My topic of principles to live by challenged the students to be intentional in the way they live for the Lord. It's always a privilege to share God's Word with the high school students at ICSB!

One last trip into the city on a cloudy morning. This photo was taken from a picturesque hill on the Buda side of the city called the Citadella. On the right side of the Danube is the Hungarian Parliament Building and you can see the famous Chain Bridge stretching across the river. This was our silly photo!
