The Family of Four Parishes will start a five-week small group book club with this book on Tuesdays from 11 am – 12:30 pm in the SSPP Church Center, starting on Tuesday, June 22nd. Racial Justice Film Discussion Series: 13th
Bay Bridge discussion series resumes in June with “13th”, available now to watch now on our website! Gather your friends, family, co-workers, or book groups together again over Zoom to watch and discuss the film, using our discussion guide. 

On Wednesday, June 16th at 7 p.m. we will host a community-wide Zoom lecture and Q&A with Ed Hennings, a highly sought-after motivational speaker and prison reform policy advocate, to join our 13th movie discussion. We will start with our featured guest speaker followed by a Question & Answer session. Jacob Haller, with Legal Action Wisconsin, will also join our discussion. Jacob works with people exiting custody to make sure they have some stability. The primary goal of the program is to reduce the recidivism rate and prevent people from going back into custody. Registering Jailed Persons to Vote

Many thousands of Wisconsin residents in detention are eligible to vote but are prevented from voting because no one has helped them register to vote.  Terri Lowder and Peg Shrader from the Milwaukee County League of Women Voters met recently to discuss an initiative to help register eligible persons in detention in Milwaukee County.  They hope to meet soon with Ex-incarcerated Prisoners Organizing (EXPO) to explore how we can partner with them on this initiative.
