FORGED by Galvanize Workshop

If you’re brand new to coding and need more support, or you want to break into the growing field of data science but don’t know where to start, let us help you take the first step toward achieving your goals at FORGED.

FORGED is an exclusive three-day workshop series designed to “forge” the unrefined coder or data scientist into an iron-clad student ready to take on the Software Engineering & Data Science Immersive programs at Galvanize. Opportunities to enhance your coding skills will include keynotes by Tech Industry Leaders & Hack Reactor Alumni; workshops taught by Hack Reactor and Galvanize Instructors; & competitive collaboration with participants at your skill level.

Choose between the Data Science and Software Engineering tracks, where you will be split into teams to collaborate and compete on challenges designed to strengthen your fundamental knowledge. There will be chances to earn points and score prizes if you attend all three days of events, including:

  • Free entrance to or discounts for our premium prep programs
  • Free and discounted co-working memberships

BreakLine Apex

BreakLine provides education and coaching for exceptional, high-performing veterans, women, and people of color who are interested in pivoting into the tech industry. The virtual month-long program is designed to help you successfully land a compelling role in tech and build your professional network.

BreakLine admits a new cohort of participants from across the U.S. every week!

During the program, you will attend 4 – 6 hours of programming a week alongside a cohort of peers. Sessions include hands-on workshops, in-depth discussions with industry leaders, and an inside look at top tech companies.

Black Boys Code is currently looking for an Atlanta Chapter Leader to expand the reach of Black Boys Code in the metro Atlanta area. We are currently seeking a passionate individual who can volunteer their time to make a make a difference in the next generation of boys in our community. The national chapter has a wealth of curriculum, materials, and resources to support the chapter. The Chapter Leader plays a vital role in working with the national chapter to bring relevant programs and initiatives that benefit young boys in the local Atlanta community.

About Black Boys Code
Black Boys Code is a national not for profit organization dedicated to introducing Black boys through their critical development years (ages 8 to 17 years old) to computer science through exposure workshops, Hackathons, after school and summer programs. Our programs are aimed at boys at a young age to build their capacity and skills in the STEM (Science, Technologies, Engineering and Math) fields with a focus on computer science. We utilize mentorship, industry exposure, and intensive training in the field of computer science to help young boys understand they have the ability to become technological innovators and creators in the digital age.
