All of us at the Yale Alumni Association of New York (YAANY) give a hearty thank you for your engaged participation and volunteer dedication at the more than 80 program activities we sponsored or co-sponsored this year.

We, as New York Yalies, continue to make a tremendous impact in our local community, and we offer you a chance to join us in support of those efforts through a tax-deductible contribution.  Support our award-winning team efforts:

>> Create an innovative Juvenile Justice Reform Task Force to team up Yale grads from diverse professions to assist at-risk youth in New Jersey.

>> Prepare dozens of Yale Day of Service opportunities to allow thousands of Yale Alumni, family members, and friends to volunteer for meaningful events.
 
>> Express your artistic and editorial skills to connect Yalies in New York through our new website and other social media (Facebook/ Twitter/ LinkedIn)

>> Foster discussions with some of the liveliest minds through stellar Educational Programs such as a personal tour of design studio Moorhead & Moorhead or a master class on characters with author Michael Cunningham.
 
>> Host benefit events for local causes -- Summer Institute for Arts or cultural incubator programming at New York landmark St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery.

>> Spark creative energy with behind-the-scenes access to arts and entertainment like a special performance of “The Killing Room,” a world premiere by popular Australian playwright Daniel Keene and a talk-back with the director and actors.

>> Collaborate with dynamic New York organizations like Artists on the Brink to attend the dress rehearsal and interact with members of the Paul Taylor Dance Company at New York City Center.

>> Explore New York and share stimulating conversation with other Ivy grads through the Gotham Gastronomes visits to top eateries in the city.

>> Brainstorm reconstruction solutions with Haiti Assistance Task Force through series of focused talks with leading legal and professional experts.

>> Bring together diverse Yale alumni groups by co-sponsoring unique activities with Yale Latino Alumni Association, YaleWomen, Yale Black Alumni Association, and the Association of Asian American Yale Alumni.

>> Fundraise for making a difference in New York with our 2nd Annual Benefit Soiree in the best of style with an award-winning online & live auction.

YAANY reaches out to all metropolitan New York Yalies, embracing those across the widest breadth of affiliation and most diverse range of interests, while not charging dues – if you live, work, or visit in New York City and have some Yale affiliation, you automatically have YAANY membership. Welcome!

Although we operate with a very lean administrative budget, we do have expenses, which we finance through modest event fees, super-fun fundraising and sponsorship activities, and the occasional direct request.

We have a strong vision for doing much, much more in 2012. Join and support our award-winning team efforts in connecting Yale alumni to change lives in New York City!
