For your next family day out, come along and discover Hampton Kempton Waterworks Railway. It’s one of the only operational steam narrow-gauge railway of its kind within the M25 and it has a fascinating heritage for you to explore. Train lovers of all ages will enjoy a ride on this historic railway, and if you fancy even more steam history, Kempton Steam Museum is right next door for you to further explore. There’s also a lovely picnic and play area where the kids can run around freely and pretend to be a train driver on the ‘Kempton Flyer’ play train.
Our other attraction, Kempton Steam Museum, will also be open on the 26/27 June, so why not make it a weekend of steam! Visit www.kemptonsteam.org for further information. All museum entry tickets will also be advance booking only.

What’s been going on during Covid-19 lockdowns?
From March 2020, the railway has not been open to the public, but our volunteers were able to carry out necessary tasks under strict Covid-19 guidelines. Here are some highlights of their hard work.
