This above image by Studio Soph was her creation during lockdown. Sharing today as Melbourne slowly creeps out of the levels. Do you have friendly neighbours like this?
We love celebrating our artists and are excited to see their new work.

This month we are sharing more tips of how you can enjoy and use our current products. We love hearing your ideas and receiving feedback. It helps us to help provide you with a service that also matches our values and sustainable pathways.

PRODUCT TIPS:
MATCH MAKER

Our ENCORE Bags began as a frustration from seeing so many useable resources in skip bins around our home town of Nelson. Thinking of the possibilities of what could be made lead to gaining permission from 5 businesses to access their bins and see what was a constant enough supply to make a product from.

Nowadays, these businesses know what we are looking for and help us by popping things aside for an easy collection. We LOVE how each business has embraced our idea. Having someone interested in your waste certainly opened their eyes to what treasures they may be throwing out. Often it comes to a time factor. These businesses are busy, and sorting out scraps to cut small parts from can take a lot of time. Together we have reduced landfill waste and created a product that replaces other bags that would never last as long. Some of the businesses are now using their small cuts which is a wonderful positive change in habits.

It isn't uncommon for summer beach bags to blow out after one season of salt and sand. Our life time bags will keep going for years and years and years of use!

We have also taken on a role of matching waste products to businesses who can use them. For example, we are often contacted with old kite's, hot air balloons, bouncy castles, karate straps, fabric offcuts and buckles. We use what we can and anything additional we have become a 'tinder' match service. For example, old kites we have passed to the Cancer Society to use for drainage bags post surgical to provide a water proofing layer. Hot air balloons to an NZ Poi making business to use as their external fabric.
