We had a great turn out for the Dale Carnegie Training seminar last Thursday with in excess of 80 attendees, we hope that everyone who came gained something from the morning, certainly initial feedback was all very positive. We would like to again thank our amazing sponsors;

The Connective - Who Motivates The Motivator

An early start for some last Thursday with a visit from Dale Carnegie Training who were divulging tips and tricks on how to stay motivated and the importance of keeping those you employ interested and engaged too.

Who Motivates the Motivator was just a small taste of what Dale Carnegie Training are offering business leaders and managers at their next workshop, when they will examine the qualities of successful and inspiring leaders, share the tools for change, and offer tips and best practices on how to bring your team up to your level of motivation. They will also be looking at the changing workforce, examining why employees defect, and learn how to identify and head off restlessness and disengagement before it starts to affect your team and bottom line.

This event is being held in conjunction with the Pukekohe Business Association but is open to WB&DA members too. To learn more or to register please follow the link.

Surprise visit from Best Start

We had a wonderful surprise when we were visited by an adorable group of children from BestStart Waiuku, just in time for Pink Shirt Day. They had come to deliver us the most delicious pink cake to say “Thank You” to the WB&DA and the volunteers at the Information Centre.

“Our visit was part of sharing kindness and showing appreciation, we wanted to particularly share it with you all to say thanks for all that you do within our community.” Ria Melling – Acting Headteacher.

BestStart Waiuku is a preschool education centre that caters for children from birth to 6 years old and is open from 6:30am until 6:00pm. The centre can be found at 66 - 70 King St Waiuku and reached on (09) 235 0373
