🌟 A few changes happening here at cbPT...
July is bringing a few changes to cbPT...

We WELCOME Stephanie to Te Anau! Firstly, I am super-duper excited to have Stephanie here based in Te Anau now. Over the next couple of months Steph will be consulting with all current cbPT App clients, so she can get a clear overview of your goals, you can chat about any issues, and she is ready to carry on with your programming when I need to step back

To start with Steph will be getting all app clients sorted and a few one-on-one clients, and then she may have some available PT sessions up for grabs once her schedule is sorted around her study commitments. Any availability will be advertised over on Facebook and also sent out via email.
 
Secondly, there will be an increase in some cbPT services as of July 1st 2021. These new prices will be applicable to any NEW or returning cbPT clients. All current cbPT Training app and one-on-one clients will continue to be charged at the current rates (see below for new rates).
 
Thirdly, I am not sure of an exact end date of work yet. This is completely dependent on a number of uncontrollable factors. I have no concerns, with stepping back when I need too, now that Steph is here with her finger on the pulse. I am planning to be on leave for 12 months so I can concentrate on keeping the circus alive and try to stay half sane. I really appreciate everyones support and offers of help to date- thanks team!

Are you a good client?!
 
💥How to help yourself💥
 
One of the hardest things as a trainer is too see a client continually self sabotage, or fail to take ownership of their choices. We are all human, and will never make the right choices 100% of the time. But if you are someone that throws away 6 days of the week when 1 day goes to the pack you need to really stop and take an honest look at your mindset, behavioural choices, but most of all your commitment to what you say you want.
 
At the end of the day, it's super hard to help someone that doesn't want / or isn't ready to help themselves. We are professional exercise specialists, not miracle workers.

Examples we often see:
1
. Client is struggling with their nutritional choices alongside their exercise regime. Client is asked to write a food diary for a 7-day period. Trainer checks in on day 7 and asks client to send the diary through. Client says 'I'll start again from today, I only did 2 days and forgot'. or 'I had a really bad few days so decided to start a fresh this week'.
2. Client outlines what type of workouts they want to see on their calendar, the frequency and intensity. Trainer sets 2-3 weeks of workouts, and the client manages to tick of 0-2 workouts each week. Trainer checks in with client to see what is going on, client says workouts aren't working for them because of x,y,z. Trainer makes changes as requested and sets 2-3 weeks of workouts, and the client manages to tick off 0-2 workouts each week... cycle continues.... 
3. Client drops off the face off the earth and fails to reply to app messages, emails, texts or calls. 

✔️ Take personal responsibility:

- It's YOU that has reached out for our services, be prepared to listen and at least try to your fullest potential what we recommend and set.
- You need to be the primary driving force in your exercise journey. If you choose not to do your workouts, not tick off homework, fail to do additional activities, those are all choices YOU have made. We are here to motivate and encourage, but we can't hold your hand every step of the way. 


✔️ Learn to hold yourself accountable:
-
Continually reaching out or showing up with reasons/ excuses/ statements as to why you didn't manage the plan set doesn't change or achieve anything. If your are seriously ready to make change you will call yourself out on this and draw the line as to what is acceptable and what isn't. 
- We as trainers have many methods and modes and styles we can try for each client until we get the recipe right. However, there is only so much we can do. If you honestly think you're giving it 85% most of the time and still falling short or feeling frustrated, then I would seriously recommend trying another trainer.

✔️ Be proactive:
- You will only get out of this journey what you put into it. Your desire for success and / or change on your journey will 100% be determined by your effort.

💥One last push before Spring springs💥
 
I have just finished finalising a fantastic 6-week block, filled with 18 rewarding workouts. There are a handful of new workouts coming your way which should burn, but make you feel a million bucks once you have finished. Registrations for both in-person or online bootcamp will open to the general public early July. Keep an eye out over on my Facebook page for this announcement- get in quick!

**Just a reminder these sessions are now being lead by Adrienne the new bootcamp instructor. She obviously has been listening during class the last few years, as she pulls the same one liners as I do (cringe haha)**
