Launching The Purpose Lab, Portugal

On 27^th May, The Purpose Lab was launched in Lisbon, supported by the release of the Happiness Works 2021 survey results. The Purpose Lab is a new initiative established by Relativ in association with Impactful, UK and ON Partners, Portugal, to provide organisations with diagnostics, strategy and analytics services focused on purpose.

Rethinking Performance

The Oxford Initiative on Rethinking Performance (ORP) aims to develop a framework for the measurement and operationalisation of corporate purpose. The intent is to enable sustainable and long-term focussed business behaviour to thrive for the benefit of the economy, investors, planet and society and the ORP is inviting partners to join their study.

African Impact Foundation Impact Report 2021

Over the past few months we have worked with the incredible team at the African Impact Foundation, assisting them with the development of their Theory of Change and impact measurement, across their Pan-African initiatives. Turning point in the climate crisis?

On ‘Black Wednesday’ 26th May, three of the largest oil producers in the world - Royal Dutch Shell, ExxonMaobil and Chevron - faced a series of revolts from shareholders and activists over their accountability to carbon emissions targets. In the Hague, Shell faced a landmark ruling to reduce their emissions. Are these signals of change in the battle for protecting the climate?

The pitfalls of goodwashing

Over recent years there has been a global drive towards sustainability. Looking at the evidence during this same period leading to increased sustainability reporting and impact investing, carbon emissions have continued to rise. The reasons for this apparent lack of progress however, relate to a series of lessons to avoid when measuring impact.
