Sector Support Update
Dear Valued Service Provider,
Apologies if you are receiving this a second time. We have amended some dates in the 'events' section.

This month’s e-Bulletin includes our Regional Forum Wrap-Up on integrated care and features plenty of events to learn and network. It also includes an invitation to complete a Sector Needs survey to shape the delivery of Sector Support in the coming months.

As Victoria is sadly grappling with a new COVID-19 outbreak, I invite you to review your services to ensure they are still ‘COVID-19 ready’. Provider’s resources are available here to support you. Take care of yourself and stay safe!
A request from your Sector Support Team
Sector Needs Survey – tell us what you need
Dear Valued Service Provider,
In partnership with Hornsby Council SSDO, your Sector Support Team has developed this Sector Needs Survey. Rosanna, Madeline and I are really looking forward to your feedback and insights in the future of aged care. Your view will help shape what sector support is able to deliver across the Northern Sydney region.  It is experts like you that help us provide relevant, accurate information and support.

Thank you so much for your time.

The Australian Government has introduced new reporting arrangements for approved providers of residential aged care services and in home and community care services. Development and Evaluation of an Aged Care Worker App
ELDAC in partnership with Flinders University is inviting care workers and care worker managers working in the home care sector to participate in an interview. It will explore participants’ work practices in relation to end of life and palliative care. The findings will help identify aspects for inclusion in the proposed Care worker App. The interview should take 20-30 minutes and each participant will be offered a $25 gift card as an acknowledgment of their time and contribution. More information is available here.
Royal Commission Aged Care
Aged Care Provider research project
The Australian Government’s response to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety and the recent budget announcements will mean change for providers. The Department of Health wants to understand provider’s readiness to adapt to the future reforms and how to best transition to the new program.
The survey will be available in June and will be conducted by Boston Consulting Group. If you wish to express interest in taking part in an interview or panel discussion to contribute to the survey, please email provider.research@bcg.com.
Expression of Interest: CHSP, HCP, STRC or residential aged care providers
The Department of Health is seeking additional providers to participate in a data study that will shape the development of the new support at home program. More information about the study and requirements to participate is available here. To express your interest, complete the online survey.
