WELCOME
Greetings! This is a special edition of the MiCCA newsletter.  As our organization continues to grow so does the need for members to take on key roles! We have complied a summary of positions that are available for members to step into, (see below): please reach out as soon as possible if any are of interest. Happy reading!

Please take a look at our current and ongoing commitments. Let us know what interests you. We are happy to work with you to learn and develop expertise in any given role. Your input is critical!

Please email Julie (quinrite@gmail.com) or Lisa (edelbuonomeyer@gmail.com) to express your interest and we will be in touch soon!

In the meantime, bring an interested person to the next monthly meeting, talk about our work, and stay focused on our goal - URGENT CLIMATE ACTION!

June 11, 3:00pm - 4:00pm EST: How Food and Water Policies Fail Communities of Color

Climate change is already impacting access to healthy, safe, and affordable food and water across the United States. From food security and nutritional content to algae and blooms and waste ponds, these climate impacts have been felt first and worst by low wealth and BIPOC communities.
Julian Gonzalez of Earthjustice will join Dr. Mark Mitchell for a discussion on how current policies have failed to protect communities from the food and water impacts of climate change.  Register here!
