Dear Neighbors,

Congratulations to all of our graduates!

Our graduates have overcome many unique challenges in this pandemic, making graduation all the more incredible to achieve. We are incredibly proud of every student who has worked hard for their education in this pandemic, and applaud all of your efforts.

With all of the celebrations and summer festivities coming up, we urge anyone who has not received their COVID-19 vaccine to take advantage of free vaccine clinics throughout the County.

People can make same-day appointments at sccFreeVax.org or drop-in to get their free vaccine at most clinics operated by the County.

We especially encourage eligible students/former students, their families, and their loved ones to get vaccinated. Below are some exciting upcoming youth events (with free boba, aguas frescas, and reusable straws while supplies last!):

We wish you all a safe start to your summer!

Together in health,
County of Santa Clara

More from this week:

California Department of Public Health has updated their Guidance for the Use of Face Coverings (effective June 15, 2021).

See the State's guidance here:

"We absolutely want to participate in a process that is also beneficial for the community at large. This allows us all to be together again with more confidence that we can all be safe." - Katie, Mark, and Apolo, San José

Follow these steps to keep your vaccine card safe so you can use it as proof of vaccination in the future. Taking the time to do so may just save you time (and a headache) in the future.
Public health leaders and school officials agree: the science is clear that there are safe ways for our students to return to the classroom. The benefits of in-person learning far outweigh the risks for students in our community.

"COVID infection is not something you want to get."

Dr. Mercy Egbujor dispels rumors about COVID-19 and vaccines.
