City of York Council is urging employers to help control the spread of the virus and help ensure the safety of your workforce by supporting the roll-out of the COVID vaccination programme. A vaccinated workforce will significantly reduce levels of sickness and improve productivity and is, therefore, good for business.

Rowntree Park is set to get a makeover in advance of its centenary celebrations this summer thanks to volunteers from some of the city’s top companies. Employee-volunteering charity York Cares is holding its Big Community Challenge at Rowntree Park which, after a hard year of floods and lockdowns hindering its usual maintenance, is in need of a spruce up.
