Return to Office Resources

Important water flushing actions for reopening businesses: To protect the health of returning employees, state and federal health agencies recommend flushing the plumbing system in buildings where there has been lower than normal water use before reopening. When buildings sit unoccupied for an extended time, harmful micro-organisms can develop in plumbing systems. Guidelines for proper water system flushing are provided by the Center for Disease Control and the Washington State Department of Health. Learn more and get help interpreting the guidelines at BellevueWA.gov/water-quality.
