Community Engagement Feedback - We've heard you!
Council has collated the feedback received during the 11 weeks of community engagement held earlier in the year. Over the coming weeks council will share themed priorities that have been highlighted by the community.

Waste management and the environment feedback came across strongly as an area where Council can do more to plan for a thriving future through environmentally friendly and sustainable initiatives.

Council has developed a Draft Transition Plan for waste management services where it is proposed to gradually move from two waste streams (Garbage and Recyclables) to 4 waste streams. The proposal outlines the commencement of a Glass Service in 25/26 financial year and, Food and Garden Organics (FOGO) service in 27/28 financial year.

Pest plants and animals both have severe adverse effects on native vegetation. The aim of Council's work in this space is to minimize the impacts of pest animals on native flora and fauna on roadsides, and to minimize damage to vegetation from pest animal control measures.
