Summer Sermons: Life and Doctrine with the Apostle Paul
Last week, we listened as Jesus urged us always to focus on the foundation of our faith. Paul tells us that life and doctrine go hand-in-hand. This summer, we are firming up our foundation by looking at core doctrines of our faith as they come up in Paul's life and writings. This weekend, we'll go to Acts 7-8 in a section in which we are introduced to Paul as Stephen is stoned. In this section, we'll look at the danger that comes when the doctrine of "Total Depravity" is denied or misunderstood. Not only does it affect how we view and treat others, it also affects how we view ourselves and our need for Jesus. Worship this week will also offer the Lord's Supper.
Summer Bible Study Plan
There will be opportunity for summer Bible study - it will take place on Wednesdays at 7:30pm. The study will look at a Biblical story that connects with our sermon message. This class will be offered online (on the Martin Luther Facebook page) or in person in the Commons at church. You can access the handout by clicking this link. Join us live or use the recording as your schedule allows
