Kia ora koutou,

Just like that we are almost half way through 2021. The year has flown by for us at the Taranaki Foundation and I am sure it has for you in your personal and professional lives too. We’d like to share a few things we have been busy with here at your Community Foundation.

Since we rebranded as Taranaki Foundation, we have had lots of new opportunities to share the Foundation story and vision with our wider community.

We have entered into supporter partnerships with Energyworks, Think Technology, Energy City Ford and Mediaworks. Energy City Ford have kindly supplied the Foundation with a vehicle.

Through the generosity of local donors we are pleased to announce 6 grants were gifted from the 2020 Taranaki Foundation annual funding round totalling over $13k and we look forward to sharing more recipient stories in the coming months.

Several new endowment funds are in progress, with The ‘Coach McKean Fund’ being our most recently created fund.

The NP Partners programme delivered its first project, a boardwalk at East End Beach. Stay tuned for the next exciting NP Partners project that Taranaki Foundation is leading.

Through event partners Centuria and Taranaki Chamber of Commerce, in May we introduced the Taranaki Foundation to nearly 200 Taranaki business professionals at events with guest speaker economist Cameron Bagrie.

Finally, congratulations to our Taranaki Foundation Chair Bryce Barnett who was recently named Patron of Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust

Please get in touch if there is anything more you’d like to know. Our website is set to go live before the end of June. In the meantime keep an eye on our facebook page for all our latest news and updates.

Warm regards, Ngā mihi nui.
