Restrictions Update

We are all feeling relieved that some restrictions will be easing again from midnight tonight.

With these changes, some classes can return from next week,  others will unfortunately remain closed for another week.

The following are important restrictions that affect neighbourhood houses from Friday 11 June:

  • Maximum of 10 people plus instructor
  • Density quota of 1 person per 4 square metres
  • No indoor physical recreation permitted
  • Face masks must be worn indoors

Classes next week

A reminder that face masks are now mandatory for all indoor classes under the updated Victorian restrictions. The centre remains open.
  • Languages, Arts, and Literature classes will resume face to face
  • Bridge and mahjong will not run due to social distancing requirements
  • Tai Chi, pilates and yoga classes will not run
  • Buff Bones will run on zoom only
We anticipate that these restrictions will ease again at the end of next week. If the covid situation continues to improve, we may be able to resume face to face classes for the last week of term. Please keep an eye out on our website for any updates.

Compensation for missed classes

We understand how frustrating it is for everyone when lockdown results in missed classes. We are making arrangements to adjust Term 3 class fees to include compensation those particular classes that were unable to run during the Victorian lockdown period.

In consultation with tutors we have decided that the fairest model would be to adjust fees for those classes impacted rather than attempt to reschedule make-up classes over the holiday period.

More information will be available when we begin processing fees for Term 3.

Covid-Safe reminders

  • QR Code Check In is mandatory. If you cannot use your phone, please ask us for assistance.
  • Face masks must be worn indoors
  • Hand sanitizer is at entry
  • Physical distancing of 1.5 metres
  • Regular disinfecting of surfaces
  • For Rochester Road classes, temperature checks remain

QR Code Check-In

Check-in is required for all staff, tutors and members attending CNC. All class locations have a unique QR code.

To ensure a smooth first class, we recommend that members download the Service Victoria App available from the App Store (Iphone) and Google Play (Android).

If you do not have a compatible smart phone, your tutor or other members can check-in your details for you.
