DUT SIGNS 5 YEAR AGREEMENT WITH NSG

The Durban University of Technology (DUT) recently signed a 5-year agreement with the National School of Government (NSG) to perform various education, training and development functions for the public sector. The signing ceremony was held at the NSG offices in Tshwane, last Thursday, 3 June 2021.

DUT was one of the 10 South African Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) who attended the signing ceremony, to seal the partnership which will accelerate the delivery of education, training and development programmes aimed at expanding the skills base of the public sector. MTHETHWA IS READY FOR THE 2021 GISU URBAN INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP FINALE

MEET PROF MCHUNU, DUT’S NEW EXECUTIVE DEAN FOR THE FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES

A warm welcome to the newly appointed Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at DUT, Prof Gugu Mchunu who officially joined the DUT family and resumed her duties last week Tuesday, 1 June 2021. 

Giving a brief background on herself, Prof Mchunu revealed that she was born at eMthandeni, KwaMaphumulo outside KwaDukuza. She is married and a mother of three, two daughters and a son. She also has two sisters. When not at work, she enjoys cooking, baking and travelling. 

Prof Mchunu completed her primary education eMthandeni and matriculated at Montebello High School (now called Our Lady of the Rosary).
