100 Days Drawing Japan

Hello!

Hope you are all well! If you read my last newsletter I mentioned starting a new project in June, a 100 day project where I draw something every day. My theme is Japan, and so far I've kept up with the daily drawings and have really been enjoying it! This is just a quick email to let you know where you can see the drawings so far, read the blog posts, and watch some time lapse videos I've made. Enjoy!

Read about my initial plans for the project in the blog post below. Who knows if I'll manage 100 days but I'll try my best, haha!
Intro Blog Post
Illustration of a Japanese Bento lunch box, open with chopsticks resting on the lid. Inside is rice, a pickled plum (umeboshi), edamame beans, egg, and gyoza dumplings. Painted with watercolours on a white piece of paper, with a brush and a paint palette next to the drawing.
Illustration of several Koi Carp fish, hand drawn in black ink with bright red, orange and grey patterns. Painted with watercolours on a white piece of paper, with a brush and a paint palette next to the drawing.
Week 1 was really fun! Read the blog post below where I talk through each illustration, behind the scenes and about the subject matter...
Week 1 Blog Post
I made a few time lapse videos of my painting & drawing process, have a browse through them all on my Youtube channel. I won't be filming every day, but I've enjoyed having a dabble into video editing!
Hope you enjoy the Japan themed illustrations I've created so far, and any suggestions for things to draw just send me a message!
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
