Kindness
Last week I announced in this newsletter that, due to the effects of the pandemic on supply chains and manufacturing, we need to increase the price of the Alinker by 1st September, to give you time to purchase at the current price. Part of the responses I received were accusatory attacks on us, angry words that cannot be repeated here. Other responses were kind and supportive and thank you for those.
We have nothing to defend, we know what and how we are building the Alinkers and how we sell, what we offer and how we spend our funds responsibly, so I never take the attacks personally, but it effects me.
I deeply understand that people feel kicked in the curb, isolated and angry at the world that is not built for our wellbeing, equally. But we have no chance of healing or building something better together, when we are not showing up with kindness.
When we are angry and just go at each other, allowing ourselves to judge and attack others, we think we do ourselves a service, but all we do is perpetuate the systems that oppress us, we are our own oppressor. We are conditioned that way, so the systems continue to benefit from us being divided and fighting each other.
Do you want to act as a conditioned object, or make a choice who you want to be. We have the power to be different.
Kindness is a choice, and it is free. Kindness is a practice that brings us together. Kindness allows curiosity rather than judgement, kindness means also kindness to yourself. Kindness is a choice. When we chose to be a kind person, and our actions match our words, we are congruent. When we are congruent, we become attractive human beings for others, and we can build something better together.
The world is filled with unimaginable 'problems' that overwhelm us and as we feel overwhelmed, we feel powerless to 'do' something about it. And maybe it is not what we do, but who we decide to be, aware, kind and curious, so we can bridge to one another and overcome perceived differences.
