DON'T MISS THIS FANTASTIC FREE WEBINAR, THIS MONDAY 14 JUNE, 12-2PM AEST

CARING FOR COUNTRY,
CARING FOR EACH OTHER

How can we work together to create deep localization and a wellbeing society? How can we create a fair, ecologically healthy society for all, while responding to the challenges of ‘greenwashing’ and the corporatization of sustainability strategies?

Join us for a discussion between four remarkable women, who will share insights into their approaches to building a localised, Earth-centred, socially just society.

Discussions will include the following topics: the urgency of supporting localisation across Australia; the Relationist Ethos that is the foundation of Indigenous societies in Australia; the role of Indigenous 'First Laws' in informing and transforming Australian society; the emerging Indigenous-led and other regenerative initiatives across our continent; how to challenge the current economic system to bring Earth centred values into society; and how to address the challenges we face in transforming industrialised societies into mature civilisations that Care for Country and Care for Each Other.

SPEAKERS:

  • Mary Graham, Adjunct Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Queensland, Director of Future Dreaming and Kombumerri Person (Gold Coast, Queensland)
  • Anne Poelina, Chair of the Martuwarra Fitzroy River Council, Adjunct Professor and Senior Research Fellow with Notre Dame University and Nyikina Warrwa (Indigenous Australian) woman in the Kimberley region of Western Australia
