The Crow Summer Institute took place virtually last month and had over 30 participants! We are so grateful to the talented teachers and administration that made this incredible event possible. And we wish all Crow language learners the best of luck with their continued learning!  To everyone who helped make CSI 2021 a success, we say "ahóoh!"

Lakota Summer Institute is Underway!

The Lakota Summer Institute (LSI) is happening NOW! The Lakota Language Consortium is excited to have nearly 70 language learners in three different course tracks. These include speakers of all levels; including everyone from teachers refining their fluency, to beginners learning the basics. As participation is virtual this year, there are people logging in from all around the globe -  with 8 different countries, and 21 different states represented! It's the first of the three weeks of LSI, so look for more updates to come!

TLC Welcomes the Summer Interns!

A big welcome to the newest team of Summer 2021 interns. This month we welcomed Shania, Jacob, Allen, and Francisco. These students have traveled from all over the U.S. to gain experience in IT and linguistics work. As a Lakota tech support intern, Francisco is working to develop interactive applications for language development. As linguistics interns, Shania is working on Version 2 of the Lakota Puzzle Book, Allen is working on Ute Mountain Ute projects, and Jacob is working with the Crow dictionary. We are delighted to welcome them to the team! (Pictured from Left to Right: Francisco, Shania, Allen, Jacob.)
