Dear <<First Name>>

As we come to the end of another week, it seems time is zipping by at a pace. It's certainly true to say that it is all systems go at The Matthew Project and we have plenty of news to report. So please allow yourself five minutes of calm to take a seat, pop your feet up and catch up with what we have to share...

Feedback from one of our Outside The Wire clients in Essex:
“I would just like to say how much of a help you and Outside The Wire have been in my recovery process, you have always had a caring ear and always seemed to know what to say and when to say it !. You are also very good at passing on advice regarding gaining help from other agencies that can help in a veteran’s recovery process, i also admire the way that you pursue me when I can be difficult to deal with at times and for this, I cannot thank you enough.”

The more nominations we get, the greater our chance of winning, so please spread the word. Thank you.
WALKING4NORFOLK: We did it! The TMP Trekkers completed the Walking4Norfolk challenge with a total of £2,247.60 raised. We finished in 7th place, took 10 days and clocked up 393.1 miles. There was sweat and tears but thankfully no blood! Thank you so much to our amazing team and to every one of you that donated. By way of example, it costs approximately £1,850 for one adult in recovery to complete our Recovery Support Programme at our Next Steps centre in Norwich. Together, we really are making a difference.
HIGH SHERIFF OF NORFOLK VISIT: It was wonderful this week to show the recently appointed High Sheriff of Norfolk Michael Gurney, around The Matthew Project headquarters. He showed such enthusiasm and genuine interest in our work as he will focus on helping vulnerable young people from all communities across Norfolk during his year in service. Here he is pictured with our CEO Andy Sexton after meeting and greeting staff, volunteers and service users.

ABOVE: It was great to see our very own Matt from Drawing Conclusions showcased in the EDP 24’s Norfolk Selfless Series this week. Matt has volunteered his time to do weekly art therapy sessions. He has helped build recovery capital in our members using his amazing skills and lived experience, to make a real difference to our members. Well done and thank you.
