The CSA will be open this summer!
The Board has worked diligently to provide the broadest activity offering possible under current safety guidelines. We will have to take different COVID safety measures during June as Michigan still has some restrictions. Beginning in July we expect all broad epidemic orders to be lifted.

Because we have members coming to the CSA from all over the country, we will not know individual vaccination status.  Out of an abundance of caution, and to protect our children under 12 years old who cannot be vaccinated, we will be taking some extra precautions this summer and we ask you to bear with us and please comply.

Please read the announcement below. Stay tuned for more information this weekend.
CSA Summer 2021 COVID Participant Announcement
Everyone in the United States has been affected by the COVID-19 virus pandemic; the Congregational Summer Assembly (CSA) was directly impacted because the CSA Board of Trustees voted not to open the CSA in the summer of 2020. The Board of Trustees is happy to open the CSA for the 2021 season.  While vaccinations across the country have made an impact, we don’t know what we don’t know.  One thing we do know is that COVID has not “disappeared.” We each have a role to play in keeping ourselves and our family members safe, as we have done for more than a year. As we all know, each of us is primarily responsible for our own health and the health of any minors in our family.

While the CSA will take steps in accordance with the state and county health guidance, the CSA cannot be a guarantor of your or your family’s safety from COVID. You are ultimately responsible for your safety and people will differ in what feels safe. Since we cannot know everyone’s vaccination status, we ask that non-vaccinated individuals follow any State of Michigan indoor mask requirement. We fully understand and support anyone who chooses to wear a face mask, and we ask that everyone do the same.

ACCORDINGLY, BY YOUR AND YOUR FAMILY’S PARTICIPATION IN CSA ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: LESSONS, COMMITTEE MEETINGS, SPIRITUAL GATHERINGS, CLASSES, CAMPS (SUCH AS ECOLOGY FUN) OR LECTURES (“CSA ACTIVITIES”) IN 2021, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT SUCH PARTICIPATION IS VOLUNTARY AND IS UNDERTAKEN AT YOUR AND YOUR FAMILY’S OWN RISK WITH RESPECT TO COVID.
