PROJECT: Bank Commission to photograph vermont communities

The inspiration for the image is often the connection between two people. That can be the connection between myself and a subject (for a single portrait) or the connection between the subjects themselves. This is where I start. From here I use available light to begin and add strobes as inspired. This momma and daughter were photographed exactly this way.

I spent several weeks, even though the lockdown, in Vermont getting to know the people and places there for a local bank commission that recently wrapped up. (You won't be surprised to know that due to an NDA, the information I can share in an email is delicate.) The project was very much about Vermont itself and many of the people photographed for the project were street cast as I went about my travels. I met this pair when they casually walked over to their neighbors house in Winooski, Vermont.
