THE LIVING THEATRE PERFORM THE LIVING DEAD.

This month's item of the month is a small collection of photos and an annotated playbill (possibly a maquette) for Julian Beck and Judith Malina's interpretation of Mary Shelley's great gothic horror novel 'Frankenstein'. In the radical spirit of the sixties, Beck created the structure of a head on stage and placed the company in it. The Creature symbolised the workers exploitation under capitalism.
