Opportunity to Share your Thoughts - County Comprehensive Plan

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners has begun the process of creating a County Comprehensive Plan, and developing a common vision for the county and forming strategies for achieving goals.

It is important for citizens to provide input on the plan. You can provide input in one or all of the following ways:
  1. Attend the public input meeting on Monday, June 7th, at 7:00-8:30 p.m., at the Vesper Community Center. The meeting will be a town hall-style information gathering session. This is an opportunity for you to provide input and feedback regarding the future of the county. (The meeting will also be available via Zoom to allow virtual participation.)
  2. Fill out the community survey. There are 34 questions related to agriculture, environment, and businesses. The deadline for responses is July 11th.
  3. Be on the steering committee. Members will meet with the consulting firm writing the plan four times over the next few months to review materials, suggest edits and provide feedback.
The process for developing the County Comprehensive Plan is in partnership with the North Central Regional Planning Commission in Beloit. If you have questions, please contact Emily Benedick, Executive Director of the NCRPC, at 785-738-2218 or executivedirector@ncrpc.org.
