New Health Equity Research Tool from GIM

Christina Harris MDGIM's Dr. Christina Harris and Dr. Enrico Castillo (UCLA Psychiatry) recently published a paper describing their new Health Equity Research Impact Assessment. This assessment, which draws on existing research impact assessments and health disparities research measures and frameworks,  is meant to be a practical tool to help examine a study’s impact on health equity.  The paper describes how the tool was developed and how it may be used by research reviewers, researchers, academic institutions, and funding agencies to elevate health equity in medical science.
