Hot hub site at Flowers Health Centre
We have recently been informed that the area at Flowers Health Centre that we have been using for the ‘hot hub’ site will be unavailable to us from 14 June as the network. This is understandably important as the practice continues its work on the Covid-19 vaccination programme.
As an immediate step we have secured additional space at Sloan Medical Centre so that we can keep the current level of cover. We recognise that this does mean in the short term, until we have identified a longer term solution, this will impact on patients accessing the hub. We are also reassessing the taxi provision and will stagger the individual GP start times to reduce any adverse impact with travel/arrivals.
We’re keen to ensure good geographical coverage, so we are already speaking with practices in the North Locality to find alternative sites as well as to get views about ongoing requirements for the ‘hot hub’ service. Please contact Chris Thornton (chris.thornton@nhs.net) to let us know your views.
