Our worship services will broadcast on our YouTube channel and Facebook live at BOTH Worship services. Join us online or in person as Pastor Jim brings the message this Sunday.

NOTES FROM THE OFFICE

Offering plates are now being passed in the pews. If you do not feel comfortable with this, you can still drop your offering at the church office during normal office hours (Monday - Thursday 10 AM - 3 PM). Also returned to the pews are hymnals and Bibles as well as Connect/Prayer request cards.

Beginning with the June 6th Worship Hour, masks will be optional and coffee service will return.

We are inviting the whole community back to a giant Summer Celebration at Emmanuel United Methodist Church where we crank the fun and crazy factor up to eleven on June 15th from 6-9 PM.

Bounce Houses, Shaved Ice, bouncy jousting, carnival games, science experiments, BIG BUBBLES -- and MORE.

The sermon series beginning in June and for the summer is FAITH GOES TO THE MOVIES.

Pastor Jim has been doing movie series for many years, looking at theological and biblical themes from all types of movies. This summer we will have a variety of movies from old, new, and in-between. Come and join us as we see such stars as Spencer Tracy, Robert Duvall, a young Harrison Ford, Gene Wilder, Raoul Julia, and Frederick March with films that will entertain and challenge us.

We will be showing the movie in its entirety at 6 PM in the Sanctuary on Wednesday before the sermon that Jim will be referencing. The schedule is as follows:

June 23: The Apostle (PG-13)
June 30: Wesley: A Heart Transformed (G)
July 7: The Frisco Kid (PG)

Pillowcase Ministry
Emmanuel’s Pillowcase Ministry makes pillowcases for Give Kids the World in Kissimmee, Florida. Give Kids the World allows children with critical illnesses and their families to enjoy week-long, cost-free vacations and each child receives a small pillow. The Pillowcase Ministry needs the following supplies: thread (any color), kid-friendly material, or monetary donations. Material should be cotton, cotton/polyester, or flannel. A donation container has been placed in the narthex coat hanger area. As of May 24, 2021, we have made and shipped 42,000 pillowcases since the Ministry was started in 2004. Please feel free to join us on the second Saturday of the month from 9-12 in the Fellowship Hall. Thank you!

Reminders or submissions need to be turned in by noon on Tuesdays to Marla Boring (Communications) by EMAIL. Marla is in the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
