Hello, everyone!

The first Birds in Toyland class has begun! The first class filled up fast and our first LIVE meeting was last week. We will meet 4 more times LIVE on Zoom. It is so much fun! There really is a sense of community between us and it's going to be fun to see how the quilts and projects come together.

There are still a few openings in Group 2 (beginning June 17) and Group 3 (beginning July 17). If you would like to join the class, click here to go to Creative Spark for more information.

See the whole quilt at the bottom of the newsletter. The book will be released next year. For now, the only place to get the pattern is in class. Publishing takes longer than making videos :-).

Last week during Time Out I gave a tour of my studio. As one person said in the comments, mine is not a pinterest-y space, which is good. I show you where I really work.

Today, June 9, at 2:00 CST I will show you how to use wool scraps to make cute, no-sew pincushions. They make great gifts for sewing friends—but be sure to keep at least one for yourself :-).

Ellana Wool Thread from Wonderfil

I have been using Ellana lately and I love the way it sews. It is strong, holds the twist well, and the colors are superb! AND, I haven't tried it myself but I heard from a reliable source that Ellana works well in a sewing machine for embroidery and machine quilting on wool.
