Wow what a week! We hope that our customers who have been affected by the flood, have had heaps of support from friends and family, especially those farming folk who have been hit the hardest. We are however, a resilient bunch and with a little help from the decision makers, we will get our local communities back on their feet in no time!
The dip in the bridge is a slight concern for Lushingtons as we have only a couple of staff who live on the south side. It is however an evolving situation and at the moment it is business as usual!
You may have noticed the community police station in our car park. A few thought that the officers might be looking for illegal plants!-none found. Of course, they are there to keep an eye on the bridge and if it needs to be closed it again, they have a base on the south side.
As ‘be prepared’ is a good motto in these uncertain times and our garden is a place to unwind, let’s talk plants! We’re looking forward to the new season's roses, which arrive next week and if you need plants to soak up the water, flaxes are it! We have big practical ones, little ones and very ornamental ones. If you have a new creek, riparian planting will keep it at bay!
