Mental Health and Men:
Tackling stigma in the workplace

A free interactive event for West Yorkshire employers, business owners and their staff.
We know that workplace interventions can be hugely effective at raising awareness of mental health, promoting positive wellbeing and encouraging early help-seeking for mental ill-health.
With men facing particular challenges around mental health stigma, this event will focus on effective approaches to engaging a male workforce and creating a mentally healthy workplace for all staff.
Our discussions will be led by Beverley Peace, Group Compliance Director at Bradford-based national construction company HB Projects.
Beverley has worked in Health & Safety for over 25 years and is constantly exploring opportunities for business, employees’ or her own self-development.
Beverley’s core professional belief is trust and she truly cares about work and the people she works with. This belief, and her passion for people, has led her to work tirelessly to ensure that health and wellbeing is a key focus area within the business. She is also instrumental in ensuring that mental health is talked about and employees look out for each other.
Beverley will talk about her approach to mental health and wellbeing at work, with particular focus on engaging a male workforce. She will share how her work in this area has evolved, her learning along the way and practical tips for other employers.
Following Beverley's talk we will break into small groups for further discussion and networking. Please bring your own examples of effective approaches to share with other attendees.
This session will take place on Zoom. Attendees will be emailed joining instructions prior to the event.
