Participate in the Maple 100 

We’re looking for farms, food businesses, sugarmakers, restaurants, breweries, lodging partners, producer associations, food system organizations, recreation, tourism partners, and more to participate in a fall celebration of all things maple from September 15 – October 15, 2021. This is your chance to get creative and help us showcase the many uses of Vermont maple!

The Vermont Maple 100 is a month-long, annual promotion that highlights hundreds of maple activities, adventures, and maple-inspired products. This fall, join the Vermont Agency of Agriculture in celebrating the Maple 100, in partnership with Vermont Tourism, and organizations from all across the state, to promote events, specialty products, and learning resources for Vermonter’s and visitors to discover new ways to enjoy Vermont’s sweetest treat.

Dairy Experience Forum

Join dairy product innovators across the country for this year’s virtual Dairy Experience Forum. Learn new perspectives on the consumer experience and opportunities to grow dairy sales domestically and globally. Hear fresh ideas for moving the dairy industry forward through innovation and collaboration at this five-hour event. Free for dairy farmers, $35 for industry.

VSFA Annual Meeting

Join the Vermont Specialty Foods Association for their virtual spring annual meeting. This 2.5-hour event will feature a keynote speaker from King Arthur Baking Company, two informative presentations on costs of production and social media, and a valued opportunity for businesses to connect with each other while learning ways to sustain, grow, and manage their operations

Recovery Bridge Grants

The Economic Recovery Bridge Program from the VT Agency for Commerce and Community Development provides  financial relief to businesses who have not received state and federal funding due to eligibility constraints and to businesses who can show a continued loss of revenues due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible businesses must be domiciled and have their primary place of business in Vermont. Funding will be awarded on a first come first served basis.

Urban Ag and Innovation Grants

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced the availability of up to $4 million for grants to support the development of urban agriculture and innovative production projects. There are two categories under the Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production (UAIP) competitive grant opportunity: Planning Projects and Implementation Projects. The maximum award for each grant category is $500,000 and $300,000 respectively.
