Hello Montview Families!

We have completed our 2020-2021 School Year! Our next major event for new families is focused on our incoming 6th Graders: New Student Academy. I would like to remind our new 7th and 8th Grade families that we are dedicated to making your child's transition to DSST: Montview MS as strong and welcoming as possible. Please make sure that you communicate any questions or concerns throughout this summer.

It is always our hope that we get to know the newest members of our community beyond the classroom. In honor of one of our 6 Core Values--Curiosity--we are wondering if any of our new families (or families with new sibling Knights) would be willing to provide information about the following in order for some of us to visit or participate in:

What local community center/area does your family regularly go to?

New Student Academy is almost HERE!

When: Monday, June 7-Wednesday, June 9

Students will be allowed into the building at 7:45a
Wednesday, June 9 from 10:30a-11:30a: New Family Celebration
- all New DSST families are invited to join us outside for some snacks and community building

Who: New 6th Graders

ALL new 6th Graders are invited to attend NSA

Where: DSST: Montview Middle School

students were given T-shirts during the Meet/Greet earlier this month
- students who did not attend the Meet/Greet will be given a t-shirt on Monday, June 7

Community Engagement Manager

We are hiring an awesome team of campus based Community Engagement Managers at DSST who will help create deeper connections with our schools and the communities we serve! These positions will lead a DSST campus in family and community engagement including student recruitment, family engagement, and community engagement and be on a Network wide team of other Community Engagement Managers with a lot of support from our Home Office. DPS Registration: Opens on Monday, July 19

If you did not complete the required DPS registration during Early Bird, you will be able to starting on Monday, July 19
- Registration MUST be completed before school starts
- Registration is online ONLY
- We will announce dates/times for Registration support at the DSST MTV MS campus soon

2021-2022 Free/Reduced Lunch Application: We encourage ALL families, regardless of need, to complete the FRL Applicaiton
