We have made it to the end of our school year and what a year it was. I know that for many of us looking back over the last year and it’s many ups and downs it can feel like we encountered multiple years at once. Whether that was communicating back in August our plans to teach in a completely remote environment, stops and starts on returning students to our building, or finally in February developing a plan for hybrid learning for kids at home and in the building, you all have been there every step of the way to adjust and adapt. You have helped us to both execute effectively to provide great learning opportunities to your students and to build a stronger and more cohesive community in the process.
We are looking forward to August and a chance to start off the next school year with our students all in person. We will take the lessons learned from the past year not to simply return things to “normal” but to make our school even better for our kids and families. Please continue to watch out for summer communications that share progress toward those goals and changes going on within our community that will be in place this fall.
The Montview team wants to wish you all a great summer. We hope it is fun, relaxing, and full of time with those you love. We know the last year has put much stress on us all and I hope this time becomes of or renewal and rejuvenation.
Take Care and Go Knights!

I cherish the vantage point I have in the work I do for Montview. It allows me the time to hopefully capture some of the amazing humans that I work with and work for. Please enjoy the collection of photos from this wondrous year! And thank you to all of the students who agreed to stare into the lens :) (From Mr. Ruiz)
Our students have done amazing work this year, despite many unforeseen challenges! During the year, we took 3 iReady diagnostic assessments. As a school, these assessments are an important measure for us to monitor student growth, which is particularly important in a year like this one.
In Reading:
Our Median Growth Goal was met at 125%
51% of students met their Reading Growth Goal
In Math:
41% of students met their Math Growth Goal
We will continue to leverage iReady next year in a dedicated intervention block to support student learning.
