NACD Membership Changes
Dear NACD Families,
Our world is starting to look a bit more normal as we crawl out from underneath the Covid pandemic. We at NACD are very aware of how difficult this past year has been for so many of you. The lockdowns have been hard on everyone; and for many the financial impact has made life even more difficult.
We have done our best throughout this year to help everyone out as much as we possible could, with substantial scholarships for new families, to reduced and emergency membership fees for our financially challenged families. The strain has been significant for all of us, and we are all doing what we need to do to get our families, our lives, and our organization back on solid footing.
We have done our best to provide the best services we can for a fraction of what anything close to comparable professional time and support would cost. We have not raised our fees since 2014, while we have watched our costs to provide the services take a big jump. In that we cannot continue to ignore these realities, beginning in August 2021 we will be making a slight change to our monthly membership. For our families who are currently paying $260, we will be raising that membership just $15, to $275.
Beginning in August we will also be raising the monthly membership to $300 for new families, and the fee for the initial evaluation will be $1200. Although we will be dropping the COVID scholarship, we will be offering help for new families through other scholarships. If you know of families who have been on the fence about joining, they might want to get their application in before August.
We would ask that everyone keep the NACD Foundation in mind when you are considering your charitable contributions; and to those who received financial assistance from us over the past year or years, please consider paying it forward and helping other families with a donation to the Foundation to help with scholarships as well.
We are looking forward to building lives through 2021 and turning hopes and visions into bright futures.
