Campo di Bella is a winery, restaurant & farmstay (make advance reservations thru AirBnB) modeled after European agritourism family businesses. They make wine from grapes harvested from their vineyard and offer it with seasonally inspired dinners on Friday & Saturday evenings throughout the year. Also, I found this on their website, but you may need to see if this is still ongoing in the summer.  If not, there are 7 Story Pods your children can listen to at https://mineralpointpubliclibrary.org/childs-play/  StoryPods are in-person story times for small groups available several times during a week. Each family/group will be assigned their own ‘pod’ to stay in during storytime to keep everyone socially distant.  StoryPods will take place on Tuesdays at 10 AM and 2:30 PM and Wednesdays at 10 AM. Call the library at 608-987-2447 to sign up.


Bures Berry Farm’s “Pick-your-own strawberry season” is set to begin between 6/10 & 6/18/21.  Because strawberry ripening is highly dependent on the weather they are  unsure of our opening day. Good news in the fight against the Cardinal Hickory Creek transmission line.  Circuit Court Judge Jacob Frost issued a ruling in Driftless Area Land Conservancy’s favor. The fight is not over. We still have to prove there was a conflict of interest, but we now have the green light to go forth with discovery. 10/15/21 Off the Vine, 5-8 PM, Enjoy a Walking Wine Tasting in Downtown Dodgeville, WI. Local businesses & local wines. There will be several host sponsors with wines at each location.  Your ticket includes 1 wine glass, 1 glass charm, wine booklet & wine samples at each host location. Every host will have their own set up of snacks & activities.  There will be 2 Registration Sites. 10/16/21 Picnic & A Play “Magnolia Star” by Jeff Pfeiffer at Shake Rag Alley & Alley Stage, 12 pm with Play at 1 pm, Optional picnic lunch from a variety of Mineral Point restaurants & the music of Driftless Standard Time.  The play will be a staged reading followed by a talkback session.  Reserve your seat, order your picnic at www.shakeragalley.org/picnic-play (see details above 6/12/21 entry)  Play ticket $5

10/20/21 Women’s Art Part 3rd WED of the Month, 6:30-8:30 in the Lind Pavilion, 411 Commerce St., Mineral Point.  From March-Nov. women gather for creative camaraderie.  Newcomers always welcome.  Each month a project is planned & participants or local artists take turns leading the group.  All necessary supplies are provided.  It’s a friendly group.  Make crafts.  Make friends.  Project Fee $5. 10/23/21 2nd Annual Halloween Masquerade Ball (for Adults Only), 7 PM to Midnight,  Music, dancing and entertainment, costume contest, prizes, fortune teller, photo booth & more.  A fall fundraiser supporting Shake Rag Alley arts & crafts programming & historic preservation.  Tickets available in Sept. at https://shakeragalley.org/Held at the Lind Pavilion, 411 Commerce St., Mineral Point.
 
10/31/21 Trick or Treat at Shake Rag Alley, 5-7 PM, 18 Shake Rag St., Mineral Point.  Free  If you are a kid or want to act like a kid – put on your wildest costume & come visit.  Children of all ages will meet friendly (not scary) costumed characters who will be passing out Halloween treats at each of the Shake Rag historic buildings. This Mineral Point tradition is enjoyable for the whole family and a way to meet so many other free spirits and check out their wacky get-ups.

11/13/21 Driftless Poets Workshop Meets via Zoom the 2nd SAT of each month 2-4 pm to discuss & share poetry.  No registration required but please provide an email RSVP via the link at https://shakeragalley.org/literary-events  New poets welcome.  Only those who have submitted work prior to the workshop will receive feedback and critique.

12/4/21 Photos with Santa & Free Take & Make Arts, Crafts & Sweet Treats for registered Youth.  10-12 am, at Shake Rag Alley.  Photos with Santa are a holiday tradition at Shake Rag. Fun for the entire family!  Schedule a safe and socially distanced photo session with Santa at the Cabinet Shop – $10.  & 10 am – 12 pm (maybe 1 pm) Free Take-and-Make Arts and Crafts and Sweet Treats for registered youth.  More details to follow on how to register, etc.  608.987.3292
