So long, Maryem
Our beloved Maryem has run off back to Switzerland in search of new adventures! She will be hugely missed by us all, but we're confident there are many great things on the horizon for her.
She added a slice of glamour to the PRSC, with a fabulous new outfit for each day she was here. This huge sense of individualism and flair came bursting out of every ceramic creation she made for us. Showing true depth of skill, her range of unique ware (available below, get them while you can!) is an explosion of all things Maryem: classic, classy and colourful, but all with a huge sense of fun and adventure.
"I am happy I got to work with fun people for three years, you made my time here and my leaving party (!) very memorable. I was always treated as a valuable and equal team member and friend, and not looked down for my young age. Also I was always able to say what I wished to do, as it was important for everyone to be happy in their doings. I never imagined I'd spend my working days decorating china, let alone making a whole ceramic table top. The PRSC is a place where everyone is welcome, and I'll surely come back to visit soon :) "

Opt out of the government sharing your health data
Matt Hancock is slyly trying to sell all our health data again. This time they've increased the amount of data they're seeking, and will potentially allow identifiable information to go out - Full Fact point out the distinction between pseudonymising and anonymising. Even medical professionals are shocked by this data grab. If you want to stop your GP data leaving your GP practice for purposes other than your direct care, you can find instructions for opting out here - but you need to do so by June 23!

BASE Infoshop is a not-for-profit collective that has been providing radical, alternative literature and culture for over 25 years. The infoshop promotes critical thinking and analysis, and stocks a wide range of progressive political, anti-capitalist and anarchist books, pamphlets and music.

Throughout the pandemic unpaid carers played an essential role supporting older, disabled and seriously ill relatives and friends. This Carers Week (7 to 13 June) anyone who looks after someone is encouraged to get a Carers Assessment.
All carers are entitled to a Carers Assessment on an annual basis. It is a chance for you to talk openly about the impact caring has on your life. It will give you space to think about how caring affects your physical and mental wellbeing and how this may change in the future. It’s the first step towards making sure you get the practical, financial and emotional support you need.

The council has already banned gambling advertising from Bristol's streets and buses, but the team behind this new poster campaign want to take that nationwide.
"We are not being evangelical about banning gambling, but feel if tobacco advertising has been so successfully banned (with people still continuing to smoke), surely the same could apply to gambling adverstisments".
