In Person Poetry Invitation

Poets and poetry on the second Tuesday of the winter months of June, July and August in the heart of Sydney.  Are you coming?

Poetry Sydney partners with Since I Left You (SILY) to present a series of six poetry evenings featuring Sydney and NSW poets on the second Tuesday of the month from April - September, at a Sydney heritage venue located between three historical storehouses in the CBD.

The series name, pie in the sky poets is in the spirit of the Flying Pieman, William Francis King, who peddled his pies the streets of Sydney delivering impromptu public orations on the pies he had for sale and the politics of the day in the late nineteenth century. Known as the Flying Pieman he devised all manner of opportunities for public entertainment on the urban inner city pedestrian thoroughfares capturing the imagination of chroniclers and artists at the time in Sydney.[1]

This Tuesday night: pie in the sky poets | EAT . LIVE . FLY
