Students: Make sure CC has record of your vaccination status.

As announced in April, the college will require all students, faculty, and staff who are living, learning, working on, and accessing campus for the 2021-22 academic year to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

All members of the CC community must submit COVID-19 vaccination documentation (proof of vaccination or exemption) by Aug. 1. If you have not started your vaccination process already, do so NOW in order to meet that Aug. 1 deadline.

While we understand that some students are not able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, or may need to be vaccinated once on campus, getting vaccinated now does provide additional freedom when you arrive to campus. Students who submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination will not be required to observe a period of enhanced social distancing upon move-in. This means vaccinated students can participate in more in-person NSO programming and on-campus opportunities, spending less time on Zoom.

Please submit your documentation NOW. All students who submit documentation will be entered to win cool prizes like iPads, Microsoft Surface tablets, and $250 Amazon gift cards. Register your vaccination status and you could win a prize! Prizes will be awarded once a week July 1 through August 1. The sooner you submit your vaccine information, the more chances to win. Register your vaccination card or exemption form in SUMMIT to automatically be entered to win. Winners will be randomly selected from all registered students.

With more vaccination documentation, the college is able to make better-informed decisions about relaxing protocols like indoor mask requirements and weekly testing as we head into the Fall Semester.

Until we receive all vaccination documentation, Return to Campus Protocols remain.
  • All newly arriving students living on campus or locally off campus must take a COVID-19 test upon arrival and participate in weekly COVID testing for as long as they are in Colorado Springs.
  • Fully vaccinated students who’ve submitted proof of vaccination do NOT need to observe a period of enhanced social distancing upon arrival.
  • Students who are not fully vaccinated at the time of arrival (or have not submitted proof of vaccination) must follow enhanced social distancing protocols for seven days, and should schedule their first weekly test on day seven after arrival.
  • One visitor may accompany students for on-campus summer move-in (two for fall move-in). Visitors are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated.
Fully vaccinated people reduce their own risk of infection, and there is mounting evidence that vaccinated people are also much less likely to transmit COVID-19. People are considered fully vaccinated:
  • Two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
  • Two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Submit your vaccination paperwork via SUMMIT.  The Immunization/Health information website provides links to the Student SUMMIT portals, as well as exemption forms and instructions. If you have questions, please contact vaccinationinfo@coloradocollege.edu
