As our summer term has just come to an end, we thought we would send a news update on the Scottish Cornhill Training Course.
It has been a surprisingly good year for us – I say surprising because the Covid pandemic has not been as disruptive as it might have been! We had to do our teaching on Zoom for parts of the year, and while this brought a certain level of frustration to teachers and students, we managed to get through our curriculum pretty much intact. We had a happy Valedictory Service on 16th June at which we were able to say goodbye to both the 22 students who have completed the course this year, and those who completed it twelve months ago but were not able to attend in person.
SERVANTS OF THE WORD
It was a joy to put on our Servants of the Word conference on June 14th and 15th, attended by nearly a hundred people. The fellowship of real in-person contact was enormously encouraging after the difficult months in which meetings have been almost impossible to run. We had some excellent teaching from David Jackman, Willie Philip and Paul Rees.
