We live in a world defined by violence, much of it committed in the name of God and supposedly for the greater good. The myth of redemptive violence lies at the foundation of all the evil that haunts our hurting world. Those who walk in the light of the Lord will lay down their arms and pursue the way of peace, which is the way of enemy-love.

Summertime Unmasked!

From Sunset Lake Camp - New COVID Guidelines from Washington State and the CDC are bringing back summer fun. Masks will no longer be required outdoors, regardless of vaccination status. Masks will also not be required in the cabins.

Campers will only need to wear masks when going through the serving line at the cafeteria and when our programs or other classes and activities are taken inside because of weather.

Praying Forward...For Schools

Praying for Principals/Administrators – We invite the entire conference to pray a prayer of praise for the principals and administrators that have helped to safely navigate our schools through this pandemic.

As the public schools were closed, leaving tens of thousands of children without in-person schooling, our Adventist schools were granted permission to operate through the application of very strict guidelines.

Our principals had to adjust their programs to accommodate new health screenings, physical distancing, strict elevated cleaning standards, mask mandates, and remote learning for quarantined students.

Praise Jesus that our administrators were indeed blessed with the wisdom to meet these challenges, keeping our schools open through a most difficult school year.

Praying Forward...for Church Growth

Team Work, Makes the Dream Work – Your conference Evangelism Department works in connection with our Health Ministries Department, Education Department, and Children’s Ministry Department. This cross-department collaboration is working on new initiatives that will help share the Gospel in new and exciting ways.

We believe there are 1,000 ways to do the right thing and our conference leadership is supportive of trying new ideas to help get the Gospel out to more people. Please continue to pray for our conference leadership and ask the Lord to fill these men and women with an extra measure of the Holy Spirit.
