Tips for joining in Worship at home:

  • Be ready to go 10 minutes before the service is starting with your computer, iPad or TV set up and connected and volume turned up. The livestream will appear a few minutes before the service is scheduled to begin.
  • If you have a printer, you may want to print the Order of Service in advance and have it ready for Sunday Morning, otherwise you can follow along on another device. Do join in the responses and hymns as you normally would.

Pray with us

The World
We give thanks that the Southern African Development Community has agreed to deploy troops to Mozambique to help contain the increasing violence in the north where some 3,000 have been killed and almost 800,000 half of whom are children, have become homeless. Our prayers continue for people in Hong Kong who are refusing to accept Beijing’s control, as the only newspaper founded to hold China’s power to account, is forced to close. We pray for Afghanistan where the Taliban is violently resurging as peace-keeping forces leave. For the Middle East, we pray that reconstruction after last month’s devastating attacks in the Gaza Strip will proceed peacefully and diplomatically. Dozens of Ethiopians have been killed and injured in an airstrike on a market in the north of the country, while the EU strongly condemns this deliberate targeting of civilians. In India, a new coronavirus variant is spreading and causing concern; Brazil is battling vaccine misinformation, and so we pray for the many countries around the world where so many lives are affected in diverse ways.

Our City and State
In Victoria, we are thankful for the efforts of the ADF in clear up and repair of storm-damaged property. We are thankful that COVID restrictions here are continuing to ease, while Sydney residents and government health officials remain vigilant in the face of an increasing number of cases, and we pray that, with a renewed sense of our interdependence, we will remember to act responsibly and helpfully towards others.

The Anglican Communion
The Church of Pakistan (United).

The Australian Anglican Church
Anglicare Australia (Bp Chris Jones, Chair; Kasy Chambers, Exec Director).

The Diocese of Melbourne
Camberwell Girls' Grammar School (Debbie Dunwoody, Principal; Helen Creed, Chaplain); St Thomas' Werribee (Ken Bechaz, Nisher Kunoo).

Our Cathedral
We pray today with deep thankfulness for the call of our patron Saint Paul, his amazingly fruitful ministry in first century evangelism and the theological depth of his writings. Through our AGM, we bring our praise for enabling creative and faithful ministry to continue here during and despite the disruptions of COVID lockdowns.

Those in Sickness or Need
