Our “Room to Reflect” is open on Fridays between 9.00am and 1.00pm.
This week we have changed the theme for the summer. It is “Yield” based on the P.R.A.Y. acronym in the book ‘How to Pray’ by Pete Greig.
1 Kings 19:10-13 Elijah waited patiently for the presence of God. Have you made space for God recently? Are you still expecting him to show up as he has in the past? Come and wait patiently and attentively for God’s presence and voice in the reflection room. This is a recent prayer from Lectio 365:
God, I confess that I am a creature of habit and I want You to speak and move in predictable ways. I surrender my attachment to what is familiar. I am hungry for an encounter with you. I yield my expectations and wait patiently for your presence – however you want to meet with me.
Amen
You can book to come at other times if you cannot make it on Fridays – please contact the church office.
