There are over 100 registered cannabis cultivators, nurseries and processors in British Columbia, and AgSafe has been developing workplace safety materials tailored to meet the needs of industry employers.
Cannabis growing is agriculture, but the cannabis industry is different in many ways from other types of farming. While the industry can benefit from AgSafe agricultural workplace safety resources, there is a need specific to this industry.
AgSafe’s regional safety consultants and advisors have been connecting with employers to determine what industry-specific safety materials are important to them. The result is a suite of easily accessed and useable safety tools and resources.
Transitioning from COVID-19 Safety Plans to Communicable Disease Prevention.
As British Columbia moves into Step 3 of the restart plan, AgSafe will continue to update our resources to assist employers with maintaining and updating their current safety plans.
