Great audience for Wednesday's What's Up After Hours!
What a fantastic turnout at the Lincoln County Hospital and Lincoln Medical Clinic for the June What's Up After Hours event! Approximately 50 local leaders and interested individuals joined us for the announcements and tours at the hospital - including an introduction to Tawnya Seitz, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the Lincoln County Hospital, and medical providers Austin Gydesen, APRN-C, Clinic Operations Director; Andrea Rinaldo, APRN-C; Abbie Weigel, ARNP; Elizabeth Cramer, MSN, FNP-C; and Taylor Kinney, M.D., Chief of Staff.

Dr. Gydesen shared the news that the medical providers will begin scheduling set days at the end of the month:
Austin Gydesen - Monday through Friday
Andrea Rinaldo - Monday
Abbie Weigel - Tuesday and Wednesday
Elizabeth Cramer - Thursday and Friday
Also, coming soon, the Sylvan Clinic will be open again as a walk-in clinic on Saturday mornings 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Elizabeth Cramer.

After those introductions, the group broke into smaller groups for guided tours of the renovations in progress at the Lincoln Medical Clinic, with new paint, flooring, and more! The tours continued over to the hospital for a drawing for one of three great door prizes. Winners of those prizes were:

Georgie Dearvil - First Aid Kit
Lori Spear - Blood Pressure Monitor
Becky Rathbun - Basket of goodies including a free clinic visit worth $200, touchless thermometer, and various first aid type items. (Pictured is Becky's son Carter)

After a quick stop for a free tumbler and a free blood pressure check, attendees were able to learn more about the Moonbeam UVC disinfection technology, which is portable, fast, on-demand disinfection of high-touch surfaces in patient rooms, operating rooms, and bathrooms and can be used on patient care equipment, fixtures, keyboards, monitors, and workstations on wheels. The team explained they use this new tool as a final step in the cleaning process to leave a room sanitized and ready for use.

The last stop before a sack supper with a sub sandwich and a strawberry shortcake dessert, was the CT and radiology area of the hospital, where they are preparing to upgrade from a 16-slice CT machine to a 64-slice Supria True64 CT scanner by Hitachi, which will offer lower dose CT, low dose lung screening, and pediatric imaging. Any other summer interns are invited to join us for the luncheon and also do a short talk on their internship!
